Followed the recommendation of the Auntie (driver cum tour guide for Sun Moon Lake) and came to this Forest Park - 溪头森林游乐区 (located at Nantou Country)

Xi Tou Forest Park, Taiwan

A totally nature experience as we had to walk our way around the park. No vehicles are allowed.

Thought of the old times where we had to do obstacles course~

Can you imagine we walked this rope obstacle all on our own? haha

Spend around 4 hrs at the park, but it's really not enough time if you want to fully explore the park. We missed out on a few places due to time constraint.

A beautiful place to go for nature lovers! =)

As promised by the Auntie, she brought us to this primary school to take photos. haha

It has become a tourist attraction on weekends due to its unique buildings.

Though dinner is still at Feng Jia Night Market, this time round, we packed the local "Hei Lun" (similar to our Yong Tau Fou, but more on the sweeter side with pork) for dinner.

28th Dec 2008 - Food Hunt

Started the day with Yi Zhong Food Street (can be easily reached by their public buses).

Our lunch~

it comes with corn soup as well. abit on the salty side though.

Was amazed at how they baked the rice without an oven!

(O.O) This is the small machine they use. place the bowl in and it'll be baked. simple as that. haha

Bubble Tea is famous in Taichung (origin place as well).

A Sir Tea - seems to be quite famous, drank the small taro milktea, not sure why there isn't any black pearls.

Didn't understand the meaning of the shop name until I saw their uniform. Lol. Sorry Sir!

Make our way to Dong Hai University as it was getting dark.

Read from my book (The Rough Guide To Taiwan) that this was the attractive Uni in Taiwan as it has Tang dynasty themed buildings and several blossoms. But, to our disappointment, we didn't get to see the Tang buildings, most of them are normal buildings. One of their student told us that only the school of arts and culture has those Tang buildings.

Another reason for us to visit Dong Hai was because of the Luce Memorial Chapel. Again, too dark and drizzling, so it doesn't seem that beautiful to us. Haha

(found this on wiki)

Wanted to visit the famous Arts Street which is nearby (not so near though, we walked for around half an hr and we still didn't see the street). Gave up on the idea when the locals said there wasn't much stuff at the Arts Street.

As it was our last night at Taichung, we decided to do our best to eat more specialty of Feng Jia Night Market. Lol.

Below are some of the stuff that we ate :

Yummy Banana dipped in chocolate~ (it taste like ice cream at first, have to let it melt a little before you bite it)

Tall Tall Ice-cream, strawberry mixed with mango

Pepper Bing, has some meat fillings too.

Famous for their sweet desserts. Tried the Taro with Red Bean Ice. Taste wise, I prefer those at Jiu Fen.

We were too full to drink this milk tea, so left it for breakfast and luckily the pearls didn't harder.

They had a TV to show how their staff pack the drinks from the 2nd level and a cute travelator to bring the drink to 1st level.

Okie. We had a little too much of food. Time for bed~
