Day 1 – Arrival at
At 3.45pm, we took the JetStar 3K 695 to Hong Kong (HK)! Initially, the seats are quite comfy. But, after some time, you start to feel the space constraint of the seats. To get better seats, choose the front row or the row at the emergency exit. It has much wider space. It took us around 3.5 hours to reach HK.
To our surprise, we had to take a minibus to the airport after the flight landed. Lol. First time I know that there is such a service at the airport.
Collected our stuff and bought an octopus card, something like our ex-link card, to travel around. Deposit of HK$50 and HK$100 balance.
The transportation cost in HK is quite expensive. A single trip to Mongkok from the airport cost HK$60! And, this is not for the taxi, it is only the MRT, or MTR to them.
We stayed at this little hostel, Oi Suen Guest House, at Mongkok. The building it is in is actually quite old, but the inside is quite nice and tidy. However, the rooms are really small. I guess it is only meant for people of average size. If you are quite a big size person, this is not for you. Haha. It only cost S$132 per person for 6 nights. Ideal for budget travelers. =)
