Snoopy World and Shopping

Day 2 – Snoopy World and Shopping!

Started the day with a BIG full breakfast at this nice Lan Ting Coffee Shop. It looks just like those in the HK dramas. I suppose breakfast is very important to HK people. A simple breakfast included a big bowl of noodle with choices of meat, milk tea, egg with ham and a bun!Hong Kong Breakfast

Next, took the MTR to Kowloon Tung, then change to the KCR railway to reach the Sha Tin Station. Took a small walk before reaching our destination, the New Town Plaza where the Snoopy world is located!

It is so cute right! Lol. But, the weather is super hot. Hence, we went into the shopping centre to shop and get some cooling air. Bought a pair of Mango jeans at HK$142. =) A good bargain! It is the shopping festival in HK from early July to end of August.

Next, we went back to Mongkok to shop. There is this Argyle Shopping Centre, though in chinese it is written as wang jiao shopping centre. It may not seem big, but there is lots of small shops in it. We spent 3 hrs and only completed 3 levels. The products sold are trendy and at reasonable prices. You get to do some bargaining as well. haha.

Time for dinner! Ate at this famous Da Jia Le aka Cafe De Coral. The food portion is big! I ordered chicken and pork set. It included chicken chop and pork ribs, fried meat balls, mushroom soup, mashed potato with mayo, and banana split! And guess what, all this only cost HK$40. The chicken is real tender and yummy! Recommended!

Shopping time again! Walked around the streets of Mongkok. It is 10pm+ and yet, the streets are so lively! Sale is everywhere and lots of people are still doing their shopping. It is very safe to be outside till late night. But, the roads are quite confusing with all the neon banners. We "lost" our way a few times, but, luckily we are still able to make our way back to the hostel.
