Clean & Green Singapore
Saw an ad while I was on the train before I saw this music video on TV.
It turned out that they are from the same campaign - Clean & Green Singapore
Enjoy the Song - Let's make our World the Most Beautiful Home
A very relaxing song,
and most importantly, the message to pass on:

Spot the difference by FedEx
I always enjoy playing the classic game of Spot the Difference.
And, it was great to see it being used on an advertisement. =)
I noticed the orange tag on the box on my first look, and I thought that was the only difference since it is an ad by FedEx.
Then I went on to read the text and I realise I actually missed the zebra crossing that is missing on the first photo.. haha
It was really a small change that I didn't manage to spot even though I am good at this game of Spot the Difference.
It is indeed a cleverly executed ad to link and introduce FedEx's new service. Kudos~

Einstein's Riddle
Found an interesting riddle online that was said to be created by Albert Einstein in the late 1880s.
It claimed that only 2% of the population could solve it!
It took me a while to solve it, but eventually I did, and therefore I am in the top 2%! Haha =)
Test it out and see if you are also one of the top 2% smart people in the world.
Here's the challenging Einstein's riddle:
There are five houses painted with different colours on a street. In each house, there is a owner of a different nationality. Among the 5 owners, each of them drink a different kind of beverage, smoke a different brand of cigar and keep a different pet.
Find out who keeps a fish,
given the following conditions:
1. The British man lives in a red house.
2. The Swedish man keeps dogs as pets.
3. The Danish man drinks tea.
4. The Green house is next to, and on the left of the White house.
5. The owner of the Green house drinks coffee.
6. The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
7. The owner of the Yellow house smokes Dunhill.
8. The man living in the center house drinks milk.
9. The Norwegian lives in the first house.
10. The man who smokes Blends lives next to the one who keeps cats.
11. The man who keeps horses lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
12. The man who smokes Blue Master drinks beer.
13. The German smokes Prince.
14. The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
15. The Blends smoker lives next to the one who drinks water.
Hint: Organise the information in a systematic way. Trial and error is also allowed.
Can you solve the riddle?
If yes, Congrats! You are among the top 2% of intelligent people. =)
If no, get more clues from me, don't give up!

Aerobics Workout
It's amazing to know that I have completed 2 terms of aerobics workout! =)
Initially, I was worried if I could survive the first lesson as I have not been exercising for quite a long time. But, after the first lesson, I realised I was so refreshed after it! I didn't had any aching body parts which I was expecting after such a workout.
Some of the movements may seem very easy and relaxing, but if you keep doing it, your muscles can get real tired. haha
When you get tired, all you need to do is rest for a while. Then, you can do the movements again without the tiredness.
And, it is always good to have a motivating trainer! She would push us to do that little bit more when she knows we can. She also provides explanation on the movements that we are doing so that we know the purpose of each movement.
One thing we would love her to do more will be to help us count. It is always easier to do the movements when we know we are reaching the end of the count. Lol.
Motivation~
#Get moving and do some real exercising!

Power to Change by HP
It's the only home we know. Yet, every day, we take the earth for granted.
Every time we take a flight or leave the lights on, we are doing the earth harm.
When we forget to turn off our computers, energy is also wasted.
But, together we can help make the world a greener place, one simple act at a time.
Because when it comes to the environment, small changes can make a world of difference.
Are you ready to make the change?
HP Power to Change
We often forget to turn off our computers when we are not using it. I am guilty of this as well. I often wonder off to do something else and forget that my laptop is still working.
We always thought it's just for a short while, it will not make much difference.
And, this is especially so in office environment whereby computers are often left turned on when people go out for lunch or out for meeting and events for few hours. It always seems more of a hassle to them having to turn it off and on again when they return to work. But, that few hours of leaving the computer on would mean energy has been wasted.
The act of turning off the computer may mean nothing to one person, but many people who do the same will make a whole lot of difference.
Spread the word to ensure we have a good environment to live in~
Everyone can make a difference with our little actions.
Start the good habit today! =)
#Please turn off your computer if you are going to be done soon. Reminder to myself as well!

Press On Singapore Campaign
Press On Singapore! came at a good time as it is during such times when people are feeling down due to the financial crisis, H1N1 or natural disasters that needs some encouragement.
A little encouragement to someone in need makes a big difference to them! =)
All of us need some encouragement once in a while in our life. Encourage your family, friends, colleagues whenever you can. You'll never know how big the impact may be on them by what you have said or what you have not said.
There was also an ad that was shown in parts on TV and the part I saw was the little girl who likes to talk to her surrounding items. Her friends find her behaviour strange and likes to make fun of her. Only one friend stood by her for who she is.
Catch the full version of the Encouragement video on Press On Singapore.

First time - Tour Guide
First time being a tour guide.
I was so nervous and excited then. hahaa
It's a 2 hours learning trip to Sentosa for a class of secondary 3 students. This trip is part of their school module - Elements of Business Skill.
Got the chance to ride on the new Cable Car - the Jewel Box. It has been so so many years since I last took it.
View from the Jewel Box restaurant~
Photo taken in the cable car with one of the student.. Somehow, we look more like classmates. Lol
The students get to enjoy the Luge and Skyride as well. Although this isn't their first time riding it (they got a treat from their teachers because of good results, so good!), they seem to have enjoyed it alot.
Aren't the students very lucky nowadays? I didn't remember having such interesting trips paid for by the school when I was in Sec 3. Haha. But, sadly to say, there are still students who do not appreciate such learning trips.
Anyway, it was good that everything ended on schedule and I completed the task of letting the students know more about Sentosa - one of the most popular attractions in Singapore.
For a first timer, I think I did well but of course there are still rooms for improvement. haha. The two helpers were great too! =) However, it was really challenging to capture the students' attention in the outdoor and I realised my voice was not loud enough. I must learn to talk using my dan tian (丹田) more so that my throat will not be hurt easily. And, I should be able to adjust my volume with more ease by then.

Power of 1 hour lunch break
I used to think that 1 hour is not enough for lunch at Central Business District area as the eating places are always so crowded. Looking for a seat and queueing for food would take up most of the time. Let alone do any other activities.
But, I seen many professionals doing several stuff during the 1 hour lunch break.
For one, they do not like to eat at nearby food stores. They like to go for the yummy food even if it would mean more walking is needed. (they can walk real fast though)
Then, after reaching the location, they would need to find a table for them and their colleagues. It seems challenging to even find a seat for one, let alone a group of people. Here's a test to your analysis skills, haha. You have to quickly scan through the crowd and be prepared to move in to the best possible table at your fastest speed before anyone overtakes you.
Then, here comes the question, who should buy the food first? Time is precious, it's only an hour break, so everyone has to go get their food at the same time.
Taadaa~ the power of a tissue pack. LOL
I never thought it was really happening so commonly until I get to see it for myself. If you happen to see one small tissue pack on the central of the table, that whole table is reserved. Amazing isn't it? I wonder who started this type of seat reservation method.
While having their lunch, they still need to do some networking. You can see them chatting and eating at the same time. Yet, they can finish their food faster than you. Hmm..
Okie, everyone is done with their food. Time for some shopping and settlement of miscellaneous stuff. You can get some clothes, there are always some sales going on. But, you might not have the time to queue and try it on. So, another skill, try it on the spot. haha.
1 hour may seem short, but if you are determined, a lot of things can be done in such a short time.
#Learn to manage your time well!

Dori~
Staying home all day long,
watching drama and movies online..
But once I start working,
I would not have the time to do so..
with this in mind,
time spent slacking at home seems more precious after all.
- Gamzadori
How I wish I could slack again..
LOL
seeing the travel packages daily
makes me want to travel too!
Let me OUT.

Korea Tour part 7
Day 8
had Chinese Breakfast.. we were supposed to have Chinese Dinner.. -.-"
more sales talk from Ellen. I suppose this is his last chance to persuade us to purchase items, thus, he was rather aggressive with it.
Visited Cordycep and Amethyst specialty shops.
Lunch - BBQ pork at high class restaurant (as claimed by Ellen)
we actually had to fork out additional $25000 won for this and the duck steamboat meal.
It's our last meal in Korea, and we are still eating pork!
Shop at the Girl University street..
most shops weren't even open for business as it was too early.
then, it seems to be their lesson time when we see several groups of lady rushing towards the school. It's really amazing how they could run so fast with their heels.
the last stop and the most disappointing shop of all - Korean specialty Mart
the Seaweed sold here was super ex as compared to those at Myongdong. We just got the feeling we were "cheated" by Ellen again. *sighz*
Lesson learnt: do not trust your tour guide. Lol
On our last bus journey to the airport, Ellen gave a "remarkable speech" on our behaviour towards the photographer.
After thoughts
By joining a tour..
you get to travel to more places, but you can't choose where you want to go.
itinerary are planned such that no time will be wasted for anyone, but it would mean a mad rush for places you would like to hang out more.
no worries on what you eat, but you can't be too picky on what they served you.
professional photographer are around to take your beautiful photos, but there's always a high price to pay.
you get to understand more about the country with the elaborations from your tour guide, but this is very dependent on which tour you joined. For Hong Thai, you have to learn to expect less.
will I join a tour again?

Korea Tour part 6
Day 7
Stayed at Grande Sheraton Walker Hill Casino Hotel~
Very grand hotel, though casino doesn't seem as big as I expect.
the bed is so comfy! hahaa
Anyway, we didn't get to enjoy hotel breakfast today, most probably the food is too expensive in the hotel.
We had Korean breakfast buffet instead.
Ellen wanted to show us the City Hall of Korea as he said it has a very unique mountain supporting it.
if you look closely, you can see the eyes and nose on the mountain.
However, do be careful when you are taking photo around here as there are several police on petrol. You can only take photo from a far and not allowed to take closeup photo of the houses that the president is working at.
this is just one of the guest house..
after listening to some stories on the coach, we reached the Ginseng specialty shop.
Then, we were brought to another shop which sells cosmetics and they showed us some demo. The brand that we were introduced is UGBang, wasn't a brand that we are familiar with. This seems to be one of the most well-to-do brands in Korea though.
Prices are cheaper if you buy 6 items, most of the specialty shops have the buy 5 get 1 free promo.
Lunch - Duck steamboat with Bibimbap
the soup is so sweet that you can only drink a few spoons.. duck meat is too hard to eat..
luckily, bibimbap is delicious with the seaweed~
several side dishes to go with as well..
visited Nam Sangol Hanok Villiage - the houses Koreans live in the olden days..
We were then brought to another cosmetics specialty shop, which we were told is Face Shop.
But, we end up listening to a sales talk of another brand.
nevertheless, the Face Shop products are sold at prices so much lower than in Singapore. Worth a buy if you do use these products.
It seems like a endless shopping spree today..
Shop at Nandaemum and Myongdong. They were simply one street across each other.
alot of shops and stores.. one can easily lost their way here as numerous shops were repeated.
Last stop of the day is Lotte World - the filming site for Stairways to Heaven. Theme park within a shopping mall.
It is cheaper to visit it after 4pm.
However, our tickets only allow us to take 3 rides. and, our first ride was used up by Ellen who wanted all of us to sit in the boat ride together.
Ice skating is also available.
2nd ride - the Hot Air Balloon
3rd ride - the 4D theatre. It's only 10 minutes though..
Heard from tour mates that the monorail ride is good as you get to see the external theme park as well.
Ate the famous Zha Jiang Mian or so called Black Bean noodle.
Do not be shocked by the colour, it is really tasty~
Last night in Seoul. Drinking the night away. Lol
